Ancestress Eve was created by God from Adam's rib. God created her as a helper for Adam, so they could care for the garden together and share the joy of living a blessed life in Heaven.
However due to having been tempted by a serpent, Eve ate the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and then persuaded Adam to commit the same sin. For that they were thrown out of Paradise. They lost their joy of eternal life in Paradise.
Since then, people started to get ill and women bore children in pain. Ancestress Eve bore two children - Cain and Abel.
The whole nature and enviroment became hostile towards a human being. The most painful thing was that death and sin entered people's lives.
But God didn't leave humanity without His Mercy. He gave Adam and Eve the promise of the coming of the Son of God, who will deliver the souls of the righteous from sheol and reopen for humanity the lost Paradise.
